Fire, cold, electric shocks, itchy all nice signs the nerves are

comming back to life...so in a weird way be thankful as if there

were nerve issues - it would feel 'dead'.

I am 2 years post op surg 1, 1 year post op surg 2.

I would no longer call it numb but have moved into altered

sensations.

I reported to my surg at 2 months that the feelings were def.

comming back - he said nerves take alot longer to come back to full

function than a few weeks.

No you don't really pig out as you are learning to eat again.

Veggie pig out foods? My favorite was instant mashed potatoes,

you can put alot of things into it and make it whatever consistancy

you need. I also got a juicer for this time.

I did love chili when I was post op as it was filing and had taste!

> Hi Everyone,

How weak is your jaw when u finally get these wires out? Can u pig

out? God I miss solid food.

Hello ,

Sounds like you are doing well. As for the questions after the wires

are cut.......Your jaw will definitely be weak. I found it a bit

scary, it felt like my lower jaw was going to fall off. And as for

eating after, it will be soft, non-chew foods most likely. That is

all I wanted, it will take a while to build up those muscles after

not being used for 5 weeks or so.

Good Luck,

a
