Guest guest Posted February 5, 2004 Report Share Posted February 5, 2004 Hi Cheryl, Yes, the memories are still quite clear - to the point that I can still get teary-eyed when I think about the aftermath. To even imagine going thru anything even CLOSE to that again literally scares the hell out of me. My surgeon says that it's just a mild relapse. He said that my upper jaw is stable and hasn't moved, but the bottom one has. As you pointed out, he did recommend that if I chose to have another surgery, it would be best to wait until my braces are back off to ensure stability first. I'm not going to make a decision just yet. I'm going to first see if the crosswise band helps at all. I don't need aesthetic perfection, but I do want it fixed to the point that the popping goes away because it does intermittently hurt and causes periodic aching.
