Guest guest Posted January 30, 2004 Report Share Posted January 30, 2004 Hi Sara x; My daughter also had the surgery for a underbite at the end of Dec. She also had upper moved forward. Her swelling started to go down around day 5 and now she is about 4 weeks post-op with hardly any swelling. I know with her that she drank a LOT of water, juice, water, juice. Her body seemd to crave cold fluids. Also, she took regular walks and moved around alot. I feel it really helped to keep the swelling down. I know what you mean by loving your new bite and the big chin is all gone. (her chin looks so small now) For her it really changed her look. She is very pleased with everything.
