Some folks are up to being the prime exhibit for students in training; others dislike it intensely, and as with all other parts of life, some are more attentive and patient-oriented than others. It is a way to get the benefit of much expert advice, though, and pay less money than most private orthos/surgeons charge. If I get insurance now, and end up in braces for 2 years before I even get the surgery and then the insurance company doesn't even cover the braces, I will be out ALOT of money. On the other hand if I begin by getting the braces and then get the insurance, they may say that it was a preexisting problem and then they may not cover the surgery. How should I go about this?
