Guest guest
Hi! I posted on this site a few times about a year ago and have been lurking ever since. I had upper jaw surgery (LeFort 1 osteotomy with rigid fixation) 2 weeks ago. Stayed a couple of nights at the hospital with my hubby. My doctor and husband insisted on the 2nd night because they know about my history of throwing up after surgery. Luckily, I did not even throw up even once! I'm beginning to feel human again. The swelling has gone down tremendously but there is still numbness in some places. I'm also beginning to feel some pain around my upper teeth. (Is this normal?) Last Tuesday, though, I noticed that a small portion on the right side of my head is tender to the touch. If I put pressure on it with my finger, it becomes painful. Is this all part of the swelling/pain associated with orthognatic surgery? Have some of you experienced this?
Guest guest
Hey, I just got Leforte 1 too, which procedure did you do exactly. I'm only 7days post-op though, so I'm still pretty swollen and look funny. I was depressed for like 3 days b/c closing my lips were so hard, and I kept drooling, people actually thought i was retarded when i went to visit my OS post-op ;-( But, everything is ok now, still have a little trouble closing my lips b/c my upper lip is so swollen. But, I have no numbness, just a lil numb actually to my right, near my nose. Btw, can you close your lips easily? I also had genio, but that was about it. - In orthognathicsurgerysupport , j_kiddum wrote: > Hi!
