I'm 4 days post-op and just today my drs prescribed me this mouthwash

called Chlorihexidine Gluconate 0.12% oral rinse. It's like the

taste of listerine and i use it twice a day for 30 seconds. It's

almost important somebody else said here too after each meal or

sugary drink to just rinse your mouth out w/water. Before using the

mouthwash there was actually film building up inside my front teeth

and my lips were beyond dried out, ask your doctor, it really helps!!

My drs said to just use a q-tip and apply vaseline every couple hours

to prevent your lips from drying out. My upper lip is still very

swollen and hurts on the inside too but that's because they did work

on it. my drs said i didn't need any ointment and that the pain

medications i'm taking will help w/the pain.
