Hi

thank you for the specifics. I'd never heard that about the 1.5

years. But that's lucky for you! You're only halfway to that

point! And if my experience is any indication, you'll be able to

open your mouth wider in a few months. I too felt a pinchy, ouchy

feeling in one side when I opened, and my ortho suggested it was

scar tissue....he also suggested " stretching it out " to keep it from

getting any pinchier.

It IS weird how you can have no sensitivity to touch, but definite

sensitivity to pain in those gums. Suppose there are different

nerves for touch and pain? I get the same strange effect when I go

to the dentist.
