Guest guest
Hi All: I am just now going on 4 months since I had upper and lower. Some things have gotten better and others still persist. When I talk, I notice a distinct difference in my voice. It is still very nasally sounding. When I am on the phone my mom often asks if I have a cold. At first, I attributed the altered sound due to swelling and numbness of my lower lip. Now as a lot of that has subsided, I realize it is coming more from my nose. My septum is deviated as a direct result of the upper (LeForte) and in the next few months will have it revised, so I think this may be the cause. I was curious if anyone else has had these symptoms? Has the numbness of the lower lip caused any speech problems for anyone? A lot of the feeling to my chin and lower lip returned right at 2 months, but now it still feels numb or altered. Certain S words seem difficult at times that I think is a result of this. I am hoping it will return to normal within the year. Mark
