I know the feeling, my ortho's receptionist was not that great about

booking appointments forward. I just saw my ortho after 8 months as

planned, but yes, they were supposed to send me a card to remind me

too, and I never got one. But my ortho is scaling back his practice

now in order to start to retire, I got an appointment lickety split,

which made me feel better. But I've found that you really have to

manage your own appointments.

I would just suggest if they tell you to come back in 3 months, ask

to book it then and there. If they say they don't have an appointment

book, then put a sticky note on your calendar at home and call them

later.

Last July, my surgeon said " come to see me again in 1 year, then I'll

cut you loose " . Well, the receptionist didn't have an appointment

book for that far forward, so it's up to me to call them. I want to

thank you for reminding me!!! I'm going to call them next week to

book my appointment.
