Guest guest
I just found out that I will be having my pin hole sized fistula filled Thursday afternoon. My surgeon will be going down with the scope and injecting some filler material into it. I hope it works! This will keep it from getting bigger and hopefully slow down the rapid emptying of my intestines and pouch. I still don't understand how it developed when I am divided and transected and stapled and sewn so well. Its a gasto-gastric meaning somehow my two stomachs formed a little tunnel. It only occurs in 1% of the patients. Why do I have to be the lucky 1%? Why did it have to wait until I was over 3 years out too? I am a little excited and scared since I will be the first one he has repaired. Sure beats the alternative of having a revision though. I'll let you all know how it goes, Kristy
