Re: anyone wired longer than 8 weeks?

Hi Malibu,

Try to hang in there. I was wired shut 6 weeks at my first surgery

then 4 weeks the next time. But 8 weeks.......I would be going crazy

too. Liquid diet gets old, real fast. As far as talking goes, I

still did OK. Maybe people couldn't understand me very well, but I

still talked.

PS---please realize that it will be/feel very strange when he cuts

the wires. Sort of like your jaw is going to fall off (at least it

did for me) You might want to take a pain pill or at least an Advil

or something about an hour before your appt. It helped me to do that.

Not that it hurts, but your muscles will be sore, they haven't been

used for weeks.
