Guest guest
I just had my (upper jaw)surgery done a few days ago. I didn't think my insurance was going to cover it but it went through, so just hope for the best. If the Dr. thnks it has a good chance then I would say has a good cbahnce of working out in your favor.

Guest guest
Hi, The surgery, I suspect, is medical, and it is necessary, although you haven't told us a lot about what's wrong. You may have to fight to persuade your insurance company that such is the case, but be of good cheer. Having this surgery saved my teeth. Which is indeed medical (wanna talk about the links between periodontal disease and heart attacks?). Others have had much more serious troubles with tmj, migraines, sleep apnea and many other results of the skeletal imbalances. Your surgeon probably knows the insurance company, and can predict (and deal with) its responses way better than can I. It's part of his profession. Sounds like you have a good one, too, that he cares about helping you through the insurance morass. Still, if you have to fight, do so! Good wishes to you, Cammie > I just wanted to know about the surgery. I have only seen my os once > and he said that the letter he wrote to my insurance company was real > good and that their would be no way that they could deny it. I am > only getting upper surgery done. I am just worried that I am going > to pay for all of the extra work that needs to be done, like the > braces, and then I will be denied by my insurance, which is > unitehealth care. They state in my book that this surgery is > excluded, unless it is proven to be medical and necessary. I think > about getting this done every second of the day. I just keep worring > my self, can any one help me, or give me some advice?
