Guest guest
Hi, I had upper/lower/and genioplasty (genio)done in July. The genio/chin part of the surgery didn't bother me a bit. I didn't notice any additional pain from it---the upper surgery for me was the worst. The cosmetic benefit from the genio was great for me. I have never really had a chin. I'm not too sure of the associated risks with the genio, but compared to the upper/lower jaw surgery it would have to be minimal. Good Luck, a > In my case, my lower jaw is too samll and backward. Guest guest
Hello, I had upper, lower and genio last year and I am very happy with the results. It's pretty basic, the chin bone it cut and moved forward. You can experience some lost sensation in the chin area from it. I would caution you about just getting genio if your lower jaw is very receded. I am not advocating unnecesaary surgery, but if you have a very receded lower jaw (which I did) and you just do genio, you may not like the results. My surgeon did a previs and showed me what would happen and with just a genio it created a weird " U " shape between my lower lip and chin. I needed the lower jaw advance to correct my bite. But, speaking cosmetically, because my lower jaw so far back a genio alone would not have done the job. So I would address this with your surgeon. I have some before and after pics online that you can take a look at. Best Steve > In my case, my lower jaw is too samll and backward. Guest guest
Thanks for your response. Did you get all (upper/lower/genio surgery )in one time? How long has it been after your surgery? Can you talk regurally now? Also, do you feel comfortable with singing after surgery? Well,I'm belong to singing choir. > > In my case, my lower jaw is too samll and backward.
