Guest guest
A year's maternity leave?! Maybe I need to move to Canada ;-) It looks like there are quite a few who want to or are trying to get pregnant soon. I'm not ready yet but ever since our friends got pregnant my husband wants another baby. It's easy for him to say. If he were the one to get pregnant and deliver the baby, I'd be all for it. Wouldn't that be nice? We'll see how this last surgery goes, then maybe. After eight surgeries (5 jaw, 2 c-sections and one gallbladder) in four years, I'm ready to call it quits. I loved being pregnant but I didn't enjoy the delivery or recovery. Have fun working on #3! > Hi, > Well I guess since I didn't work during my pregnancy and got a > year's maternity leave paid for after I was a little more relaxed > going in and had little else to stress myself out. Guest guest
Yeah its pretty cool we get a year paid and then can take I think a year or more depending on your job/employer unpaid. It looks like there are quite a few who want to or are trying to get pregnant soon. I'm not ready yet but ever since our friends got pregnant my husband wants another baby. I loved being pregnant but I didn't enjoy the delivery or recovery. -hey when did you get the gallbladdder one? after the surgery? I only ask as I had elevated liver enzymes - but no stones. Oh number three is a year off for me, got surg 3 and then want septum fixed, to loose the weight I gathered along the way too. Oh and find a job so I can work 6 months to get the paid mat leave SHiloh
Guest guest
Shiloh, Take it from someone with 3 kiddos... you'll never be sorry, but you'll never be the same either. Remember how much work it seemed like going from 0 to 1, or 1 to 2? Well, it's exponential. 3 is tougher, but now that all mine are older, it is great. The only thing is when you have the third you switch from a man to man to a zone defense. And, they always swamp the zone! Only real drawback to 3 is that nothing is set up for families of 5. Everything is for 2,4, or 10... Guest guest
I've heard that before, too - the zone defense. And my husband wants a third daughter - the teenage years should be a lot of fun! We've already got the dreaded minivan so at least we're set up for that. > > Yeah its pretty cool we get a year paid and then can take I think a > > year or more depending on your job/employer unpaid. > > > > It looks like there are quite a few who want to or are trying to get > > pregnant soon. Guest guest
I had the gallbladder surgery when I was 23 weeks pregnant. My morning sickness never went away and I kept losing weight so my OB did an ultrasound and sure enough, my gallbladder was full of stones. I felt much better afterwards and even woke up hungry after the surgery. Not that I recommend it, but it was a really easy surgery. I felt completely recovered 3 days later. I wish I could get a year of mat leave but at least my husband stays home with the girls so they don't have to go into daycare. He even has a name picked out already for our third daughter! > Yeah its pretty cool we get a year paid and then can take I think a > year or more depending on your job/employer unpaid. > > It looks like there are quite a few who want to or are trying to get > pregnant soon. Guest guest
Maybe its funny but I have always thought that two kids was less work than one, as they play with eachother - sure you break up more fights and I also have mine well spaced! Shiloh LOL so true about the man to man to zone defense! Still upset over the tarheels this march...boo hoo. You really think things are built for families of 10 ? I think we are now a 2 kid only family society. But I think we'll end up with four....however hopefully none of them need braces...okay one already does but.....I am sure she'll be on here once I graduate! > > Yeah its pretty cool we get a year paid and then can take I think a > > year or more depending on your job/employer unpaid. > > > > It looks like there are quite a few who want to or are trying to get > > pregnant soon. Guest guest
, Okay you are my hero now! People thought I was superwoman for 2 months postpartum. Gallbladder at 23 weeks pregnant - wow! I wish I could get a year of mat leave but at least my husband stays home with the girls so they don't have to go into daycare. He even has a name picked out already for our third daughter! =wow, I wish I could have gotten a man like that! However in most circumstances the one with the highest paying job wins! Oh yeah and I am better at it than him, he still heaves doing diapers! The baby has the stomach flu so I've allowed him to sleep in the other room as I don't need the dh puking too!
