Guest guest
Hi Joanne, I had two orthognathic surgeries as well but mine was planned that way from the beginning because of the large movements involved (lower jaw brought 17 mm forward and upper jaw moved 5 mm). The second surgery (upper jaw) was 2 1/2 months after the first and was much easier to deal with. I knew what to expect and I was still on an all liquid diet so I didn't have to change anything in that regard. Having just the lower should be a little easier than having both done. Good luck with the surgery and I wish you an even easier recovery this time. > Hi All > > I had Upper & Lower 4 weeks again and have just found out that I am > going to need a second surgery on my lower Jaw next week to doing a > minor adjustment (3mm). Guest guest
Joanne, Wow. What a complete bummer! I am so sorry you have to go through another operation. I've personally never heard of a second op so soon, but I'm sure the doc knows what is best. Did everything look good all along and then it suddenly relapsed? I can't answer any of your questions, but I hope it goes smoothly for you. Best of luck.
