Guest guest
Just a couple little things: In the hospital my gown was too big around the neck, and they didn't have any smaller ones. My husband didn't like me flashing chest at everyone, so we tried a few things before we finally hit on putting me in a flannel shirt. My right arm went through the sleeve (no IV), and the shirt went around my shoulders over my left arm. We buttoned two buttons, which was enough to cover my chest but still let the nurses get in to wherever they wanted to take vitals. Before surgery I made a huge batch of French onion soup, blended it, and froze it in ice cube trays. Now whenever I want to thin something to get it through my syringe, I can take out however many cubes I need and melt them down for instant flavor. I made a great taco meal yesterday. Black beans, taco meat, corn (to simulate the flavor of the shell), onion, a little sweet pepper, and French onion soup in the blender. Yum! It looked horrendous (the black beans turned it gray) but I finally convinced my husband to dip in a finger, and he was surprised at how yummy it was. Maybe when I'm out of black beans I'll switch to some white bean and eat normal-colored food! Kris
