I'm in the exact same boat as you, except for you its school, and

with me its work. I had upper/lower on 12/12/03. I'm completely

banded shut---liquid diet. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks since my

surgery. I have to remain banded shut until 1/28/04, then my OS

says he will put on " looser " bands for another 3 weeks. Not sure

what that means but I guess I'm on a liquid diet for another 6

weeks. I have to go back to work on 1/26. Physically I'm bored

at home now and look forward to getting back to work and gettting my

full paycheck. But I wont be able to talk. Very hard to

communicate with people by writing all the time. My social life too

has been on hold, and will continue for another month or so.

Not much else I can say except to say that I really empathize with

you and know exactly what you are going thru right now.
