SARPE and opening my mouth

Hi everyone

I just had palatal expansion surgery almost 2 weeks ago, and

I'm doing great except for one thing. I can barely open my mouth.

I used to be able to fit my entire fist in my mouth pre-surgery, and

now I can barely fit my thumb in. It's driving me crazy- it's hard to

eat and it's almost impossible to really floss and brush my teeth

well. And most of all it's driving me crazy because I don't know

what's wrong with me and when (if ever) it will get better. I know

it's probably mostly post-op neuroses, but could someone help

put me at ease here? Will this get better? How long will it take?

What should I be doing to help the healing process along?
