Guest guest
Don't remember having heard this complaint before... Are you still swollen and sore from the surgery? In any case, ask your surgeon. That's always the best, and should be the first, resort when anything seems radically outta whack. Guest guest
I had my SARPE at the end of June 2003, and took 1 week off from work. From the moment I woke up from recovery, I did not have any problems opening my mouth. Obviously I didn't try to open it wide as the stiches were still sensitive, but within 1-2 days, I was eating soft foods fine with a spoon, etc. You should really call your doctor, because I can't imagine why after 2 weeks you wouldn't be able to open your mouth and eat normally (softer foods, etc). FYI, my SARPE device came out the week of Thanksgiving (Nov), so the device was in for nearly 5 months...in case your were curious. Best of luck, > Hi everyone > > I just had palatal expansion surgery almost 2 weeks ago, and > I'm doing great except for one thing.
