First, thanks to everyone who had suggestions for me. I can't

explain to the new folks on the site how much people here can help.

Second, I figured out a possible cause for my excessive lip drying.

I have been using Peroxyl mouthwash to keep my mouth clean

(especially when I couldn't brush,) and I realized (after someone

told me about alcohol in lip balm) that the mouthwash may be drying

my lips too, since it's 6% alcohol.

Another thing - the worst part of the chapping - is on the half of

my bottom lip that's still numb. The rest of my lips are fine.

Strange? How long did it take you all to regain feeling in your

lips? I mean 100%.. I'm at about 85% now, at 6-weeks post-op.

Thanks again for your advice. It's helping tremendously.

Still chapping a bit -
