My dr called me today to see how i was doing and asked how my

swelling went. I usually sleep on my right side and my right cheek

which is still swollen and numb is actually bigger than my left

cheek. i told him this and he said to avoid sleeping on either side

because there isn't enough blood circulating when your pressing the

side of your face against a pillow. He told me to keep sleeping in

an upright position and to lie flat on your back. Just wanted to

pass this along just in case anybody else had this weird problem

lol.

One more thing, my sis bought me this homedics stone therapy kit for

my swelling. You heat up the rocks in water and rest them on your

skin,,,omg,,,it lasts way longer than a wet warm washcloth that gets

cold in a minute. Just be careful cause those rocks can get insanely

hot.

Lia,

How far post op are you? I'm 3 weeks post op and have been having

this issue for the last few nights. I'm a side sleeper too and my

right side is significantly more swollen than the left. I see the

doc tomorrow and will talk to him. Right now I have 6-7 pillows!

Ack!
