Guest guest
Thanks for the advice. I've tried ice before, but it never seemed to help. I'm going to definitely try it again though. I've also tried tylenol 8 hour, excedrin, motrin, advil, regular tylenol, the list goes on and on - but I haven't actually tried alieve so I'm going to head out to the store and see what I can figure out. Where are you in your treatment? I remember reading some of your posts awhile back, but I've been on and off the board and have lost track... Guest guest
Andy, Right now it looks like my lower only (12mm) surgery will be scheduled for June 22nd. Let's hope all the stars align and I don't come across any black cats, broken mirrors, or walk under any ladders between now and then! Guest guest
And have you ever tried TENS (transcutaneous electro-neural stimulation, or some such)? I think I may have mentioned it before. I never used it for the back, but have for jaw pain and for carpal tunnel wrist pain, which hurt, but didn't give me the trouble you are having. That might be effective. It's a nuisance, with a small battery pack and wires to electrodes, but one reaches a point at which a nuisance is nothing, compared to the pain. And if ice doesn't work, does heat? I'm wracking what's left of my brain...
