Guest guest
Hi, I'm , I'm from Newfoundland, Canada. I need to get orthognathic surgery done soon like within a few months time. I really didn't mind the idea all that much but today I went in for the consult with the specialist and well it was kinda scary. I'm getting the surgery done on my upper jaw, he told me thats the best/easiest one to have done. I'm wondering if anyone else here has had this done? I've had the worst kind of TMJ pains for several years and have had a ton of ortho surgery done to try and fix it, yet this the next step in getting it fixed I'm told by the professionals. The one thing that stands out are the pins they have to put into place to keep your jaw there, the doc said I wouldn't notice them but I have a bit of a hard time believing I won't ever notice them. thanks for your time.
