Could you refresh my memory with some more information so that I can help you? How long have you been on liquids? Are you still on antibiotics? The antibiotics can cause diarrhea. If you are taking them call your doc and he can switch you to something else. Are you taking supplements with fiber? Do you have diarrhea? If yes, and are currently taking a supplement without fiber, try Ensure plus (with fiber). If you are currently taking a supplement that contains fiber, switch to one without. Are you drinking a lot of gatorade? The high sugar content can also cause diarrhea. If your problem is constipation then I would suggest increasing your fluids, fiber and activity level. Guest guest Posted January 30, 2004 Report Share Posted January 30, 2004 Babeikaria, My OS prescribed me a pre-natal vitamin about a month prior to surgery and said that the iron in the vitamin may constipate me so she'd give me a laxative if needed - didn't need it. Smooches post surg diet=problems? i'm just curious because i haven't seen a post for this, do you experience digestive problems from being on that liquid/soft diet for so long?? were u recommended to take certain vitamin, mineral supplements, etc?
