Guest guest
I had upper/lower/genio. I didn't have a lot of congestion, you might try a humidifier, also cleaning your nose out carefully with q-tips and hydrogen peroxide solution from the drugstore, and sudafed. Saline nasal sprays may help too, although I didn't like them much. Yes, I had to make some effort to close my lips post-op. One morning I woke up with my lips tightly sealed shut. Then I started worrying that I might not be able to breathe in my sleep! I can't remember exactly when in the recovery my lips started closing more naturally, but it was within the 5 week period that I was off work. This also gradually improved over time. Residual swelling can take a long time to go down. Give it some time, there's probably lots of swelling still to go down. > Did anyone have trouble closing their lips after surgery. I can do > it, but it takes some effort. I'm mainly breathing through my mouth > right now. Ugh, so congested, cant breath through nose. Anyone had > this problem. Had Lefort 1 btw.
