Hi, and welcome!

For my part, I think it changed my nose a bit - or at least, it

changed the way it looks on my face. And for the best. I always

thought I had a big broken nose, but the pointy elongated face that

I had made it seem even bigger. Now that the angles of my face are

smoother, it doesn't look so big and out of place anymore. Which

totally rules. :D

I'm not sure what you mean by " counteract " ... you mean correct? or

avoid? If you like the way your nose looks, then I guess that the

best way to be sure is by asking your ortho and your surgeon (when

you get one). Do weigh the pros and cons when you're taking this

decision. I'm so glad that I didn't regret it. I think very few that

are here did regret it in the end.
