Guest guest
Unbelievable. I have had every test possible to try and diagnose what I think is the obvious, except ERCP/EUS and the specialist will not do it because it can cause an attack. After 2 years of pain and flare ups, do I care about an attack. I know it's bad, but life is bad like this, so what have I got to lose. Unfortunately I was referred for a second opinion to another specialist and it turned out he works under the specialist I was seeing, so I am not very popular. They are currently conferring whether to do an ERCP or not. It's that or nothing. While researching info, I read about the (EUS) Endoscopic Ultrasonography. I don't hear much about them being a diagnostic tool for pancreatitis, not as much as the ERCP. Would an EUS be a better test to have? My general doctor rang radiology to see if they do them in South Australia and they didn't know and were going to ring back. Are EUS tests scarce?
