, I sympathise with you over this cough business - Shelby is the same at

the moment just over three weeks since she finished 14 days IV's and back comes

the cough.

She also refuses to eat more than a mouthful of food at a time - so what amount

or any enzymes do we have to give her.

Also the cleaning thingy with the PA I have given up trying to explain to people

- they just don't listen. I have the added problem that I am only Grandma and

even Shelby's mum doesn't always listen. She has never been very good at

cleaning and although she has improved a lot she still has a long way to go.

All she keeps repeating is they both need A LIFE so she wants to treat Shelby

like all the other kids. Which sometimes means running around getting dirty and

sticking their fingers in their mouths!!!!!!!! I cringe when I see it but what

can I do. I can't take Shelby away from her mother and do it all for her, I

have to let Louise (Mum) get on with it.

For instance we had a rare hot day here last saturday and my other two

grandchildren were here. The 3 year old had a bucket of water in the garden and

was spilling it all over the patio (dirt and all) then paddling in it -

splashing around with her hands and everything. Of course Shelby wanted to join

in. Then they came in the house and both started eating crisps, chocolate etc.

although Shelby was given her enzymes NO ONE bothered to wash her hands. I did.

Then got nagged at for being FUSSY. The just turn off when I try to explain

that although YOU HAVE TO EAT A BIT OF DIRT BEFORE YOU DIE may be their

philosphy on life for Shelby is could actually mean something much more serious.

Sorry about the ranting on again you folk are the only ones I can rant to that

even begin to understand my frustration.
