Guest guest
Hi Torsten and all of you! Well, as a matter of fact, we live only 50 metres away from the Elbe. Today, we started packing our stuff together and are moving everything upstairs and to my and Axel's parents. It is expected that they will flood parts of the eastern side of the area here to reduce the pressure on this side where more people live. Anyhow, the water is expected to come here on Tuesday with its highest level around Saturday next week. Everybody here is helping filling sacks with sand and carrying luggage and other things around. I personally find that suddenly there are so many people I know who themselves do not live in this area but come and help. Today we were offered bed and breakfast by a couple who live just 30 km away from here. She herself - by the way - has CF. We do not think that we will have a major flood like there was in Dresden last week but we just do have to be careful. Even if the water " only " reaches 1 or 2 metres it is really bad. Thank you for thinking of us. I will keep you updated. My computer is moving upstairs tonight so I might not be online often for a couple of days - but my office computer will be okay ;-). Take care Caroline, Axel, Talau (11) and (just 7 wcf) Torsten Krafft wrote: > > Hi, > > One member nicely asked how we are doing.
