Hi Group,

Just returned from a ski weekend, and have been catching up on my mail.

A good friend of mine sent me a post regarding a segment about RLS that

will air tonight (Mon. March 1) on the ABC Evening News at 5:30.

Probably won't tell us anything we don't already know, but at least it's

coverage.

That book I mentioned before, " Life Strategies " , has some good ideas for

traveling from the victim mode to a " take charge " attitude. It's

obviously not easy to manage that transition, when we have this " thing "

that seems to be in charge of us. I guess I'm finding it helpful to

apply the idea to the way I deal with the negative feelings that rls

produce. I am basically unable to control rls, but I can do something

about maintaining a healthy outlook. The author makes the point that

many things in life happen to us, over which we have no control, and he

provides some very specific insightful strategies for managing our lives

in order to be productive and satisfied, despite the bad stuff. I sure

am not saying it as well as he does! The author is C. McGraw,

Ph.D. Well I violated the subject line rule here. I'll be watching the

news tonight!
