Guest guest Posted January 8, 2004 Report Share Posted January 8, 2004 Well here is the latest on me. I went to the Dr. today and I'm 70% effaced and 3cm dilated. I woke up last night at 3:30am and was crampy and felt sick to my stomach. The bummer- my Dr. who really wants to deliver (since I'm the very first surrogate in our area) is out of town b/c of a family death. So it could be any time- including later tonight. I'm a little freaked not knowing. Much is riding on this- like the parents making it in time for the birth. My past history with Sam was- 60% effaced and almost 4cm I went to bed with " braxton hicks " contractions and when I woke up at 5:47 having painful contracts Sam came an hour later. Luckily it was a planned home birh b/c I wouldn't have made it to the hosptial. So I'm kinda scared the same thing might happen this time. So I'm wondering if bedrest is a good idea- or walking to try to spur things on! So anyway, I'll keep you all posted! Hard to believe that we are only a day or two out!
