After giving birth to my girls I had some fairly major health

complications and ended up in hospital for the better part of 3

weeks. I had an infection and a very rare condition called ovarian

vein thrombosis. Because of the thrombosis I give my self two

injection per day for blood thinning which means I cannot have any

surgery etc until after I'm through with the injections. My

specialist told me today that I can finish them on 10 Oct this year

which means if I can find a doctor who performs the ab I may be able

to have it done this year instead of waiting until next year. I live

in Brisbane, Australia and my OB's only know of one man who does them

and he's only done 7 so I'll need to do some investigating.

Anyway this is exciting and scary as I'm sure you all understand. I

still wouldn't start TTC until the beginning of next year, but thats

still a lot sooner than we thought we could.

I really wonder though how I will cope emotionally with being pg

again. I can't imagine going through all of that again, its seems

like it would be too much to bare. Just tonight when I cuddled my

little boy before putting him to bed I started crying just imagining

that I was really holding one of my little girls and then coming back

to reality only to realise that I will never be able to hold either

one of them in my arms.

Elaine

Matt 17 mths – emergency vag/cerl 24 wks, delivered 35 wks PROM

Paige and Amy – preventative vag/cerl 14 wks, delivered alive 20 wks,

passed away short time later wrapped in my arms.

Babies were suffering from chronic Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome

(TTTS). Unsure whether I/C or TTTS caused cervix to dilate and stitch

to fail.

Great news on maybe having the surgery done this year. Australia sounds as

bad as South Africa LOL. My OB could only find one doc who had done it (and

he had done 12). I eventually found another doc but quite far away from where

I stay. The one consolation is that I have been told that the operation

is actually a very simple procedure really (and easier if you are not pregnant).

The doc who did my op actually said he didn't know why there were not more

doctors who did it, because it was actually an easy operation.

When you find out who the doc is and all his details, please pass them onto

me so I can update our doctor database.
