Their post surgical diet is drinking this nasty optifast type drink. First she says I'm suppposed to mix it with milk (package says H2O). Mix up 10 oz at a time and drink it over a 5 hour period. I did question that last suggestion and boy what a response. " You've obviously got some bad information. The protein is fine for 24 hrs. " and blew me off because I told her I learned this info from an internet group and not a " dietician " and laughed it off. Grrr Don't bother me tho, I'll be sipping on my Proscore 100 (made with water, of course) >> ----------------------------- But doesn't it make you wonder how these docs can get by with doling out all this bad info (either from themselves or their minions, like the dietician)? I really think it's time we post-ops started agitating for some regulation on this WLS aftercare bizniz. Just IMAGINE how many of us there are out there who never joined a support group or signed up on an internet help list? Who just DON'T KNOW and are probably sabotaging their health even as we sit here right now? WE are probably in the minority; the majority are probably headed for all kinds of problems down the road.
