Guest guest
The hair elements test is the one to get. nne Can someone let me know if I got the correct hair test kit from DDI? I got two - one is labeled " hair elements " and the other " hair toxic elements " . Moira's site says to get the " hair elements " test, but someone posted recently that the test is called " essential elements " . The " hair elements " paperwork lists some essential elements like calcium and zinc but also many non-essential elements like cadmium, arsenic and the heavy metals. Is this the right test? Thanks for any input! Suze

Could have been a reference to that??? Maybe? (If you want to read about this section heading or look at the format of the results see the HOW_TO_hair_test file. You can also use a link there to go to an example at the DDI site.) > The " hair elements " paperwork lists some essential elements like > calcium and zinc but also many non-essential elements like cadmium, > arsenic and the heavy metals. Is this the right test? yes. I don't know what the paperwork says The test results DO list toxic elements (as well as essential elements like calcium). FYI the " toxic elements " test test for MORE different toxic elements, and does NOT have the essential elements. Just lotsa toxic ones. good wishes, Moria

I thought I'd read here or in Andy's book (can't recall where now) that it's a good idea to do both, but if the " hair elements " test covers mercury and several other toxic elements it doesn't seem necessary to do both. In fact, I just compared the list of toxic elements on both tests and it looks like there's only a couple of obscure ones on the toxic elements test not covered in the " regular " elements test. Great - it'll save me 40 bucks :-) Suze

There might be some cases where someone wants to do both. The hair elements has the more " common " toxics. The toxic elements has those plus the " more obscure " toxics. So, maybe someone trying to look under every rock, and not finding the common toxics, wanting to look farther.... they might do the toxic elements test... good wishes, Moria
