Guest guest
{{{{{HUGS}}}}} Oh .........I'm so sorry for you and Mattie! I have a 2yr old that seems to be the same way! I sure hope that all goes well and that he won't need surgery or have any lasting problems! I'll remember you guys in prayer! Trish Another trip to the ER for our family... My 5 year old (Mattie) has this very bad sneaky streak in him and he likesto get into stuff that doesn't belong to him. Today it was a plastic pencilbox that I keep some of my scrapbooking supplies in. He got my exacto knifeand decided to cut a coupon off the back of the cereal box. The knifeslipped and he was bleeding. A lot of bleeding.Four hours and 13 stitches later he is doing ok. There was something inthere that the ER Dr.'s weren't sure if it was a bit of muscle or if henicked the tendon sheath (it was a deep cut) so we have to go see a handsurgeon at the end of the week.If you can just say a little prayer for him that everything is ok. I wishhe didn't chose to learn his lessons the hard way, but I don't want him torequire surgery or have permanent damage either.I have to tell you, he was the bravest little boy! He cried when they put anumbing gel on it and flinched when they put the lidocaine in, but no onehad to hold his arm down nor did they have to sedate him. The nurses, etc.who came through the room were very surprised at the Dr.'s decision butafter viewing his reaction, etc. agreed that he was holding still and beinga great patient. Now lets hope he remembers this lesson (and stays out of stuff that isn'this!), one emotionally and physically tired mama tonight!
