Trish, we are from Buffalo, NY.. we own some land about 30 miles away that DH hunts on... no game bigger than deer out there (occasional bear, but he dont shoot LOL, he runs!!) ; ) Seriously, though, I dont think he has ever seen anything bigger than a deer.. but they deer and turkey hunt there. He got 2 small bucks this year.. but I still prefer beef LOL.. especially pregnant... the texture is different, so it is a bit more difficult to stomach!!! : )

Yes, we are expecing our second child (a girl!) 3/27/04... so I have about 7 weeks to go! Hopefully the weather here will break by then and I wont have to bring the new baby home during an ice storm! Sara is very excited... she talks about it every day.. and the whole family cant wait either : ) On my side alone, (as opposed to DH's) we have exploded from 0 to 6 kids in barely 4 years!! So lots of new babies in the family! : )

Good luck on the foodsaver... If you missed my last post about which one I have, it can been seen here... http://www.tilia.com/foodsaver_vac800.cfm

OT.. Home made baby food?

Hi ladies... since this is a "safe" food group LOL, I thought I might ask... (since I am expecting DD#2 soon!)... I am thinking of making as much of this baby's food as I can.. I tried with Sara, but didnt have a steamer at the time, and I guess I just wasnt as motivated... but now with some time on my hands before the baby comes, I was wondering if it was reasonable to start making & freezing some things now? I have a foodsaver vacuum sealer, so I can vacuum lots of stuff and it should keep for several months, right?

Anyone have any suggestions? : )

TIA!
