Guest guest
about homeschooling? Hi Trish, I have thought about it, but I'm not a teacher. I wouldn't know if he's learning everything like he would in school, and I don't know if I have the patience, some subjects I'm just not good at, like math, which is real important. I admire Moms who homeschool. It would take a lot of diligence, patients, and knowledge. P.S.-Have you ever tried duck eggs? I've heard that duck eggs agree with some people when chicken eggs don't? Thanks, DonnaShane - asthma - allergic to dairy, eggs, pickles, and olives. Minnesota
Guest guest
Donna No, we haven't ever tried duck eggs. Hmm.......I'll have to think about it. As far as homeschooling, I wasn't sure if I had the patience, but I think I've actually become more patient with the kids. Just so you know, they have a billion resources out there that can totally guide you- and he can basically do just what he is in school, but at home instead. We have a very relaxed homeschool, but there are very structured programs. You might talk with some of the other moms that do it- and have done it longer than I have. Guest guest
Trish, I've heard of Moms that homeschool, but don't know any personally. How would I find these resources? At some point wouldn't the state have to know if they're up to par with the material? I guess what I mean is, wouldn't someone have to check if they're learning at the same rate as kids who are in school? I've always been very patient with Shane, wish I had been as patient with the older kids. I think that comes with age. LOL I'm just worried I'm not smart enough to teach him.
