Guest guest
Hi Beckie! Welcome to the group! My name is Alyssa and I am a stay at home mom to (5) and (3). We homeschool. is my allergy child as you can see in my signature line. I would definitely change doctors and take him to see an allergist. Definitely keep him away from dairy! There are many different names for dairy too. I would use your mother's instinct for now until he can get into see an allergist, and keep him away from the foods that you see a reaction to. Limit the ones that cause hyperactivity, and weight gain. Keep everything up really high so that he can't get into it. It must be tough for him to not bowel control sometimes. Poor guy. I would definitely take him into an allergist to test for more. Let us know if we can be of some help! I like to do research! I have been so busy lately, but hopefully I can get more computer time! I am glad that you joined! *Alyssa*Mom of,: (5) Anaphylactic to peanuts, cashews, brazil nuts, macadamia nuts, and pistachios. Allergic to all nuts. Sensitive to dairy and soy. Eczema.: (3) No allergies hello,My name is Beckie.I am the mom of 2 sons,my youngest has food allergies. My son is almost 6.Dairy causes loss of bowel control, food coloring causes hyperactivity.Beans cause stomach pain and bloating.caffine,hyper,sugar,hyper.carbs,weight gain.So far he has only be dx with Dairy allergy.I think there is alot more.If He sneaks something before I read the label...he poops in his pants. He has spasmatic bowels, caused by dairy.I think he has more allergies, cause his bowels never seem to empty completly.I just can't figure it out.I have been washing clothes since he was 18 months, trying to get him to the bathroom on time.If he sneeks something, and he is playing...he doesn't realize he needs to "go"untill it is already in his pants.it's not squirts,it is just involuntary.I hope someone can help me,I have been brought to tears so many times, cause I cannot get help.I have taken him to drs,I know he has spasmatic bowels,I have it,due to dairy.I see the same thing in him,the dr thinks I am wrong, and doesn't seem to want to do anythingabout it.I am thinking about a specialist.Beckie

Guest guest
the dr thinks I am wrong, and doesn't seem to want to do anythingabout it. Hi Beckie, Welcome! You'll love this group! The support, suggestions, help are just wonderful. I would suggest finding another Doctor, they're not all created equal, and you have to feel comfortable, and that you're being helped, and that your needs, and concerns are being met, even if it means switching until you find that. I had a Doctor once ask me if I wanted something to be wrong with my child, go figure, needless to say I kept looking. Good luck, DonnaShane - asthma - allergic to dairy, eggs, pickles, and olives.
