Being

on a low carb diet for more than 4 years, it has done wonders for my blood

glucose levels, and cholesterol. Unfortunately, it has also contributed to

gout

and kidney stones.

This is interesting, as I had my first kidney stone (uric acid type) the year

before I was diagnosed with diabetes. 4 years later after being diagnosed

and a real turn around in my carbs etc, I had my first calcium stones. Also

meant to add, my cholesterol is at 162, combined numbers that is. Marilyn
