I am very new at this and at the mercy of my diabetes educator. She has me on 30

carbs 3 times a day plus of course a total 30 grams a day with 15 grams soluble

and the protein I forgot lol well a small deck of cards size piece works for me.

Actually I do eat soy products more than meat! Ok goofed today cause I was

dizzy in the morn, didn't get a reading. I ate the recommended breakfast and

lunch but did have coffee with sugar this afternoon. Before supper I was 114 2

hours after I was 179.

Since I don't know what all this means there it is lol.

Another small problem since I am so new. I stuck my self like the instructions

told me with the spring loaded sticker. Couldn't get enough blood. Did it right

where I was told. Turned the sticker to the deepest setting stuck myself again

on the side of a different finger near the nail, pressing hard with the sicker

against my finger. Still not enough. Took the lanclet out and stick it manually

giving it a twist and sticking it in all the way.

Guess what I need to say is I have extensive nerve and blood flow problems in my

hands. I'm lucky don't have to say ouch cause I don't feel it. Second attempt to

day I soaked my hands in warm water and this seems to be the solution unless

someone has another idea. Actually I am new to the testing today is the first

day.I did buy the wonderful book by Gretchen Becker!
