I guess until they felt like your BS is where it needs to be. They only used the drip on me for one night. I complained about how they had my sugars up to the 500's!! They were testing every hr & then giving me 5 to 10 units of regular insulin before the drip, and no Lantus. And the next day the dr. said I could be in charge of my diabetes. They were amazed when, even with the steriod prednissone, I had it back to normal within 2 days. I kept telling them I have dealt with this for 30 years & it's my second transplant so I know what I am doing. I guess my dr. decided it was put up or shut up time LOL peace, DJ " It's amazing I won.
