Guest guest
I understand that some of us may not properly convert 5-HTP to L-tryptophan. Just from memory (best to do a search on this), vitamin B6 is necessary for this conversion. And for some of us, B6 is not bioavailable, so consider the co-enzymated(?) form of B6, known as P5P. Perhaps it would be better to take L-tryptophan itself. It is available without a prescription, in pharmaceutical quality (USP and no fillers or flow agents), from BIOS Biochemicals at: http://www.biochemicals.com/ A doctor I no longer see put me in touch with this source. I find some of the information on their website, including questionnaires to indicate certain metabolic and other abnormalities, quite interesting.
