Guest guest
(Cholesterol free) Carton or package of egg substitute (8 oz., 8 egg equivalent) or use fresh eggs if cholesterol is not a problem Various omelet fixings (celery, onions, bacon bits, etc. Sandwich-size Ziplock plastic freezer bag (they are heavier weight) for each omelet This also works well when you have a crowd and are camping. Ahad of time, prepare diced lean ham, diced onions, rf cheese or anyother filler you like, mix it up and drop it into the boiling water! Voila! breakfast! Fill large pot (2-3 qt.) 4/5 full of water. Bring water to boil. Pour some egg substitute into Ziplock bag. Add favorite omelet fixings to contents of bag. Seal bag and mix contents thoroughly by squeezing. Drop Ziplock bag into boiling water. Check occasionally. When done, open bag, dump omelet on plate and dig in. This takes about 8-10 minutes to cook. Marilyn Moderator for Diabetic_Recipes dnevessr@...
