Guest guest
Has anyone had a sleep study done with their autistic child? I'm very concerned about the EEG. has chemical sensitivities, as do I, and when my younger son Gabe had to have an EEG for seizures (after the thimerisol-free DTaP) I reacted pretty strongly to the glue they used. And it wasn't even on my head. I react to most adhesives including hives from skin contact & I'm concerned will react as well. The last time he had a reaction (to a plug-in air freshener at the dr's office) he was in a rage for 3 hours. Are there alternatives to EEGs? Is there a safer adhesive they can use? I have many other concerns about a sleep study too...if you've had one done with your child perhaps we could talk privately about it? thebyks@... Thanks very much. This is such a helpful and informative list! -Sara.
