I believe that a " liver dump " happens as a result of hypoglycemia

where the liver releases adrenaline triggered by the presence of low

blood sugars. In the case of physical activity it is probably

something like the " fight or flee " phenomenon which triggers the

liver to release adrenaline. The effect is the same but the cause is

different.
