I am really glad you are seeing someone about this, it is important, and NOT a sign of weakness, as some might think. The fact that you are on depakote also makes be doubly glad you are wise enough to seek help. I have a wonderful husband that broke his back 20 years ago. Because he lost control of his bladder, legs occasionally as well as a multitude of other problems all stemming from this, I do understand where you are. I am sure by now you are trying different antidepressants as they tend to " give out " after your body is too well adjusted to them. There are several out there that are great! I also have a son who is bipolar. This used to be called " melancholy " . or " manic depression " . It is his daughter that I am raising now, she is almost 13 and we have hasd her since a few months. all I can really say to you, is we are here, for your diabetic questions, for moral support and just to hang around with if you need us. Know you are covered with prayer, too. ;-) Hugs, Marilyn
