Well I just heard from the ped. endo. This one dosnt speak english

very well he is from India. But the nero says he is supposto be

great. He is at a good hospital.

is feeling a bit timid about this but he will be ok they

said I will be next to him the whole time and so will his nero.

She is having a 5 hour test run. The first time he had a hard time

as he hardly ever gets anything sweet but said he will try his best.

Iam also feeling apprehensive. He said he also wants to run tests on

his thyroid and pancries. He didnt understand what the other endo

ment about maybe hypo on the way to diabetis. He said either they

are hypo or not. He is concerned that william isnt gaining any

weight. He said that is something that goes with hypo and that he may

need something more then diet. Will they use an iv site on him or

stick him in the arm a bunch of times?

Is there anything other then the sticks I should prepair william

for? Last time they gave him a cola drink and stuck him once and

then again 3 hours later.

This endo seemed concerned about williams weight when he found out

he is 7 and hasnt gained weight in a year and is only 50 pounds and

eats just about anything you put in front of him.

Well I get the exact time and date tomorrow. I have to find out if

they want him to take his seizure med that am.

Can they tell me if he is hypoglacimic by a blood test I thought all

they could tell was diabetic.

Oh yes when you first eat afterwards you have a high count from the

food how long should it stay high??He may get a 195 reading it can

stay that way for 4 hours and sometimes it comes crashing down

withen 45 min.

Hi , I think this is why they are mentioning " brittle " about .

Poor little punkin, he is sure having a tough time. I am praying that the

results will come in good and that they find an easy way to help him. Hugs,

Hi list,

I hope all goes well with . A few endos can have abrasive

personalities. I use a wheelchair and have Cerebral Palsy and Spina

Bifida as well as Type II diabetes. I went to see a new endo. After

meeting me and reviewing my case, he called me a child incapable of

self management and an autistic retard. I rolled out of the endo's

office really flaming irritable MAD! This doctor didn't see past the

wheelchair. I went back to my internist and explained what happened

and was later referred to another Indian endo. His English is good

and he's nice and answers questions and takes his time. Some doctors

can be really difficult with kids/disabled people. Just my .2 worth!

good for you, kent! no kidding about some doctors being bad with

people. i once went looking for a new doctor, and went to see this

general practitioner (sp?). had never saw the man before in my life.

he walks into the examination room without so much as a glance at

me, throws a stack of files down, and screams *what is wrong with

you people, you never take care of yourselves?!!*

i wrote a letter and sent it to every member doctor in the practice.

what a weirdo!
