Hi Tana,

welcome to another European on the list and to the first member from

the Czech Republic. That's great that Miriam is doing fine. My

daughter is five, healthy too and " not really much into

eating ...... " .

Hope Prague recovers from the flooding and you haven't been flooded

yourself.

Welcome Kim!

I'm (the other moderator) and mommy to Drew (age 7) Mattie (4.5) and

(11 months). Drew is my allergy kid. He is anaphylactic to peanuts,

has eczema, is allergic to dogs and environmental allergies. Right now we

are trying to get his eczema under control. It flared up badly when we were

fighting strep (for 4 1/2 months) and had Drew's tonsils out. He is feeling

so much better overall so I'm glad it was done!

No nuts, soy or dairy. I might be able to help with some of that. Let me

look through the recipes that I put together for my brother and his

girlfriend for Christmas. He is vegetarian and she is vegan so there might

be something. I'm going to post the recipes in the files at yahoo so

everyone can search through them. I wonder if there is something in there

for Ki too? Hmmm.

In addition to Drew's current allergies he has outgrown his dairy allergy.

Anything that I had that was dairy free usually substituted soy so I am very

sympathetic to you there.

Hope you got all the wipes back in the box ;-)

----- Original Message -----

Alyssa says I haven't intro'd myself & I thought i had. My name is Kim, one

terrific kid, we have a friend (Alyssa) who has a child with allergies & we

need all the info we can get. My daughter is Tiffani she is almost 20

months. The love of my life. It took my husband & me almost 5 years to

conceive her. She just took all the wipes out of the container aaaaaahhhhhh!

Well if anyone has recipes that don't have nuts, soy or dairy in them we

could use them. Kim

Hi, Stacey,

Thanks you for your concern. It is scary that the

majority of OB/GYN are men who are less sympathetic to

understand the natural need for a woman to have a

child.

My first OB/GYN was a total retard. It wasn't until

the 3rd loss that I finally left him and went to a

high risk. Although this high-risk was a male, he sent

me to a fertility clinic (Sunnybrook Women's college

Hospital in Toronto, ON where I live) to have all my

tests done for both me and my husband. The fertility

specialist was a woman who fully understand the

meaning of having a natural desire to be a " mother " .

From her tests she discovered that I had a weak uterus

from the HSG test and that I had PCOS from the cysts

on my right ovary.

After this 4th loss from a failed vag cer, my

high-risk and fertility specialist called me at home

to offer their sympathies and both suggested that a ab

cer is the best solution provided that all tests for

infection/bacteria are done for me and my DH and all

prove to be negative. Since this loss on July 12th'03,

I am home from work recuperating until I visit my

high-risk for my 6week appointment. At this

appointment we all will discuss what went wrong and

what are the future plans. He stated that he was going

to be talking to his peers for their opinions since I

loss too many babies and he wants to make sure that

all is done properly so that we do not have to go

through another loss.

I am afraid to have an ab cer based on what I have

been researching on the net - uterine ruptures and the

fact that it is permanent. If this is the course of

action should I suggest that I have it placed

pre-conception? I also have an " irratable " uterus -

contracts early in preganancy. This last pregnancy, I

was in the hospital at 6wks with very strong pains on

my right lower quadrant. Throughout all my

pregnancies, I have always had extreme pain -

menstrual-like cramps, headaches, heaviness, back

aches, contractions. Safe to say that I am a

basketcase so the next pregnancy will be even more

emotionally tiring for me and all my family members.

Reading the postings in this group has given me some

encouragement to ttc when the DR advises me to do so

however I am not sure as to when the ab cer will be

placed. Also my DH is very concerned since he does not

know much of the procedure and the minute I mentioned

that it is permanent and all deliveries will be by

c-sect, he flipped. In the meantiome, we are trying to

get back to our normal every day living and I am

loosing weight so that I can be at my optimal weight

before ttc again.

Good luck to all who are pg and ttc. I know that

joining this group was the best emotional healing that

I can receive. Once I see my DR on Sept.2nd, be sure

to expect me to ask you all a lot of questions based

on what the DR advises us. Also I will then give the

info on the DR who will perform the cerclage. At the

moment, this high-risk is:

Dr. Jon Barrett of the Sunnybrooke &

Women's College Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.
