Independence day seems even more special to me these days. I see our brothers and sisters living in other lands that are full of strife and danger on television. It troubles my heart so to know there are so many bad things happening in this world. I urge each of you to the call of prayer. Christian, Muslin ~ any Lord and master you believe. Ask a merciful, loving and tender God to whisper soft words of comfort, to heal and soften the hearts of warriors. Place family values and peace at the head of the list of things that are important. Violence only begets violence, hatred only hatred. Each person wants and deserves to live in peace, to be assured clean water to drink, food to be plentiful, habitats to be secure. I will be praying for you all as I am going to be away this coming Thursday to Monday.15 of us will be camping together. It strengthens bonds of a family I believe, just spending time together. Watching the children and grandchildren, joining in their play. I wish I could bring all of you with us! Love, peace and understanding to all. Marilyn I recently saw a commercial on television that asked " why would I work all year to spend a week or two out pretending to be homeless " It made me laugh, why is it so much fun?
