Guest guest
Hi Amy, I hope you understood my post last night. It wasn't Judeo-Christian. The point was, whatever spiritual path one believes in, it is part of their humanity and should be considered a piece of the puzzle in self understanding. I am not a believer in compartmentalizing who we are; especially when dealing with dis-eases that affect the entire person and can effect how we deal with life from day to day. Maybe even minute to minute at times. Understanding and support, develop through communication with each other. One day, it is the physical that bothers us. Other days, where is the money coming from? And the ever popular days of wanting to crawl back under the covers (or our rock for some of us) because-well, just because. The point is, to know you have a place to go to where people will understand and be supportive; regardless of who you are or what you believe. No one wants to feel like they are being attacked or criticized for who they are and what they believe. Granted, at times, things can get out of control. It is necessary at times to take steps to protect our members so they feel safe here on this board. However, patience and tolerance don't always prevail. Tangents can occur quickly, and we all have our moments. That's when it's time to take a step back and remember why we are all here-to help each other. To some it is Blessings and to others Blessed Be. If it works for you in your life-use it. If you wish to share it as a part of your life dealing specifically with diabetes and how it helps-someone may need to hear it. Some people complain about the posting of too many recipes. Some about the mention of God in any form. For me, Life is too short to waste it complaining. Take what you like and leave the rest. And give something back-it just might actually do someone a lot of good-and you may never know it. By the way, just thought I'd let everyone know that the excruciating headaches, dizziness, lack of energy-money and belief that it was ever going to get any better in the last few months since my accident have passed. Thanks to all who were concerned and supportive and took the time to read my posts during this difficult period. My only hope, is that I can return the favor.
